Using a cross-media approach, Elena Corvaglia scans materials and forms for their statements about gendered fetishism. All objects are characterized by a high level of detail and sensitivity to surface and touch. At the same time, they provide a glimpse into their shaping. Just as they focus on their own forms, the objects direct one’s thoughts to the space and distance between them, as well as the people who are between them.

This installation is a cluster of different works combined into the scattered composition of objects irregularly dispersed across the exhibition room. The arrangement of this assemblage was created for the exhibition S_ex – an Exhibition around Sex, but the series of paintings as well as ceramic objects can exist as two separated, independent from each other, works.
